Restorative Yoga and Pranayama Four Week Series

Four Mondays starting October 26th
This four week series will explore the benefits of doing restorative yoga poses and pranayama in quieting the mind, body, & soul. In a restorative practice, the body is supported by props in a way that allows it to relax and open up. It is important to include a restorative practice on a regular basis to balance the more active practice. Pranayama is defined as rhythmic control of the breath. It is the fourth limb of the Eight Limb Path of Yoga and is the “hub around which the wheel of yoga revolves.”*
You can attend any or all of the classes. Use your regular class pass to attend this class. The class is 90 minutes to allow ample time to explore restorative poses and learn beginning pranayama, including ujjayi breath and viloma breath.
Karin has been practicing yoga for the past 15 years and has been teaching for 9 years. She is a Certified Iyengar Yoga Instructor at the Introductory II Level. Karin brings warmth and compassion to her teaching in a way that helps her students understand and perform the poses.
